課程概述

Course Description
The goal of this course is to foster and to improve students’ Spanish interaction overcoming the students’ difficulties to express in an oral interaction. In this respect, the course will be a way of consolidating/achieving A2 level of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), that is, students become Waystage users.

評量方式 Grading: 40% midterm exam; 40% final exam; and 20% exercises.

進度 Syllabus
第1週 Introductions, greetings, farewells and ask personal information.
第2週 Describe the house: ask and answer quantities, locate furniture and items.
第3週 Move in the city: ask for the existence of a place, locate a place, ask address, explain how to arrive there, ask time and ask timetables / schedules.
第4週 Look for Mr/Mrs Right: describe yourself and other people (physical and psychological description); talk about your routines; talk about likes/dislikes.
第5週 Eat at the restaurant: express desires, order a meal, ask prices, express likes and dislikes, ask someone for doing something.
第6週 Go shopping and do the shop: express your preferences; ask permanent and non-permanent prices; describe the traits of the item you want (color, size, shape…) and bargain over; compare/contrast prices.
第7週 Invitations: Invite, propose or arrange an appointment; accept or refuse proposals; express duties/obligations; convince someone about our proposals.
第8週 Go on a trip in the city/outside the city: propose plans; propose alternatives; get a consensus; express lack of interest; express probability, doubt or uncertainty; phone institutions (agencies, companies, cinemas…) for asking information (prices, conditions…)
第9週 期中考
第10週 Travel abroad: ask information about means of transportations (fares, conditions…); compare offers; ask information about accommodation; ask information about touristic places/ places o interest; activities to do during the journey…
第11週 Become a cook: give instructions; express possibilities; express personal and impersonal prohibitions; express real conditions.
第12週 Go to the doctor: explain symptoms; give advices; propose ordinary remedies; describe dosing; possible drug interactions.
第13週 Invite someone at home: Greetings; show and explain the house to the guest; make compliments for the house; offer something to eat/drink; refuse this offer; insist on the offer; accept the offer; make compliments for the meals; explain traits of the meals; start to farewell; insist guest remain home; justify your leave; farewell.
第14週 Cross life: Explain your autobiography; explain other people’s biographies; mix events; compose a biography; make hypothesis; make questions about other people’s biographies.
第15週 Complaint for the service: complaint for losing luggage; complaint for service hotel; explain conditions of service negotiated; ask for / negotiate compensations.
第16週 Look for a job: discuss about the requirements and profile for a post; explain your curriculum vitae; make questions about curriculum vitae;
第17週 “She wrote murder”: Physical descriptions in the past; explain what happen; explain an alibi; answer police questions; make a charge (justifying); deny a charge (justifying).

課程目標
Course Objectives
The main of goal of this course is students are able to achieve A2 level of Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). At the end of the course students will be able to:
- Give a simple description or presentation of people, living or working conditions, daily routines, likes/dislikes, etc. as a short series of simple phrases and sentences linked into a list.
- Tell a story or describe something in a simple list of points.
- Describe everyday aspects of his/her environment e.g. people, places, a job or study experience.
- Give short, basic descriptions of events and activities.
- Describe plans and arrangements, habits and routines, past activities and personal experiences.
- Use simple descriptive language to make brief statements about and compare objects and possessions.
- Explain what he/she likes or dislikes about something.
- Give a short, rehearsed presentation on a topic pertinent to his/her everyday life, briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions, plans and actions.
- Cope with a limited number of straightforward follow up questions.
- Give a short, rehearsed, basic presentation on a familiar subject.
- Answer straightforward follow up questions if he/she can ask for repetition and if some help with the formulation of his/her reply is possible.

The students will use a dossier provided by the teacher. This dossier consists of materials coming from different books and manuals and: Suena 1, Gente 1, Espanol 2000 nivel intermedio, En directo nivel elemental, Planet@ 1, Cumbre 1, Ele 1; among others. Moreover, the dossier also consists of some activities carried out by Spanish section.
